The Kingstree Senior High School Library Media Center serves students in grades 9-12. Our school is composed of two campuses. For that reason there is a media center on the East Campus as well as the West Campus. The East Campus Media Center is primarily utilized by 9th and 10th graders. The West Campus Media Center, which opened in 1995, is primarily used by 11th and 12 graders. There are more than 17,000 books and over 1000 videos available for checkout. Laptop computers are available for checkout by faculty, Humanities students, and Superintendent's Honor Roll students. Internet access is provided for students and faculty.

The Media Center is proud to sponsor Scholastic Reading Counts ( previously Electronic Bookshelf ). All students can participate in this excellent reading program which provides computer generated tests on well over 1,000 books. After reading a book, a student is given one chance to take a 10 question computer quiz on the book read. The student must make a 70% or above to pass the test. Anyone reading and passing 15 books per semester will have his/her picture taken and displayed in the media center and broadcast on the The Morning Show. Any student reading and passing 20 or more books per semester will be invited to a pizza party. The top winners will receive prizes. For more information contact Mrs. McGee in the West Campus Media Center.
